Eca Net

Eca Net (Real Name NOT Eca Wertchel) was born on February 15th, 1999 and moved from London to Chicago to live with his grandparents from 7 years old to 17 years old. (2016) Growing up, Eca Net always wanted to be on TV. He loved TV so much that he would attempt to catch every episode of “Malcolm In The Middle,” “The Fairly Oddparents,” and “Cackle Hill Motel,” until his grandma yelled at him to go to bed.

When he discovered YouTube on the family computer, he got absolutely hooked on the idea that people can be their own TV. On a now deleted YouTube channel named “Mr. Cam’s Cool Shows,” he'd upload several videos a month of him watching his favorite shows and interjecting as if he was the host of an interstitial show, saying weird kid things and occasionally ranting about how much homework he was given.

Even though Eca seemed outgoing by the videos he made, he was somehow both comedically and tragically left out of absolutely everyone’s lives. Eca Net was never invited to any birthday parties or half-school-day parties. Not even school assemblies. At every attempt at making friends, he would always get shut down by a distraction or a freak coincidence that made it hard to even say “hi.”

Throughout elementary school and middle school, Eca carried on from making “Mr. Cam’s Cool Shows” to making relatable comedy sketches that started to catch on. During one of his very first days of high school, he decided to use his online presence to his advantage. He went up to his teacher (who tried to direct him to another class before realizing she was actually his homeroom teacher) and asked her if he could show his most recent episode of “Mr. Cam’s Cool Shows” to the class. She agreed before asking what his name was again.

Eca's high school life now became the best thing that has happened to him! Some... things would unfortunately unfold but it seems like Eca might've learned his lesson. ALL of this remains to be seen.

Using a fortune of unknown origin he acquired on his 18th birthday, Eca rented out an Air BNB for the last 6 months of 2017 to start making YouTube videos at a higher quality than he used to. Since then, he got way better at making videos but found inspiration from the wrong YouTubers. (Paul Brothers, Ricegum) Now, he's in it just for the money and revenue. In order to make his viewers believe he has a nice place just like his idols, Eca took a page out of the YouTuber deception handbook and utilized an AirBNB to pretend it was his place.

The deception worked for a while until viewers started to catch on to the obvious bad editing/VFX. He ultimately caved in and revealed the run down apartment he lived in. (Mainly because it was too much effort for him to constantly go back and forth between his two places... BUT DON'T TELL HIS VIEWERS THAT!) He half-heartedly apologized to his viewers and now films in the place where he actually lives.

In November of 2018, Eca Net lives in a basement apartment in Chicago, with access to the world’s most interesting alley behind his building. In that apartment, Eca Net makes obnoxious videos with his friend Floca Net (Jason Eriksen) that are extremely reminiscent of the flashy “Overnight 3AM Summoning A Creepypasta” YouTube videos from this era. Eca usually knows exactly what he’s doing when filming these stupid videos but recently he’s been starting to lose control of things here and there.
